Q – What if i have less than the minimum number of drivers required for an event?
If, on the day of the event, you have less than the minimum agreed numbers of drivers the event can still take place as long as payment is made for the agreed minimum number of drivers as shown on our 2009 pricelist.
Q – What if i have less than eight drivers?
A – Please refer to the individuals and teams section of our website for events or individuals and teams and groups of less than 8 drivers.
Q – What happens if it is raining on the day of my event?
A – All events are risk assessed to take place in any weather, with the exception of extreme weather conditions (i.e snow). In extreme weather conditions we will contact you prior to your event to reschedule as appropriate. In wet conditions drivers are supplied with wet oversuits.
Q – How long does a lap of the circuit take?
A – There is no precise answer of how long a lap of the circuit will take. Experienced drivers can achieve lap times in the region of 50 seconds, but in varying conditions a lap can take over a minute. Events taking place on the 600m circuit are nearer 35 seconds per lap.
Q – Do i need a driving licence to take part in an event at Buckmore?
A -No, you do not need a driving licence but you must be at least 16 years old and abide by our terms and conditions.
Q – What tyres are fitted on the karts?
A – The karts are fitted with slick tyres at all times regardless of weather conditions.
Q – Is there any extra cost for insurance on the day?
A – All our prices are inclusive of both public liability and personal accident insurance
Q – Do you have changing facilities and lockers?
A – We have full changing facilities and also showers onsite (however you will need to bring your own towel should you wish to use these). We also have lockers available which require a £1 coin to operate.
Q – Do you have a height and weight limit?
A – Our minimum height is 5'0" and our maximum height limit is 6'8". Although we do not have an upper weight limit, we recommend that those concerned with this issue may call us and book a seat testing to ensure they fit comfortably within the kart.
Q — What should I wear?
A — Wear comfortable casual clothes like T shirt and jeans in summer or sweatshirt and jeans in winter. Do wear sensible thin soled flat heeled casual shoes like plimsolls or trainers and absolutely no sandals or open toed shoes. Also, it can rain in the UK so do bring a change of clothing for your homeward trip in case you get caught out.
